Denim doesn’t need to be washed often. This helps maintain its authentic, casual look. Thanks to its strong and durable quality, washing a few times per season is sufficient. You can spot clean stains and simply air it out in between wears.
Wash denim as cold as possible, inside out, with similar colors, and at a maximum of 30°C and 800–1000 RPM. Use a mild detergent, preferably one designed specifically for denim. Choose a delicate cycle or wash by hand. Be careful with light-colored surfaces and when wearing with light-colored clothing, as denim may bleed.
Avoid using the dryer heat can cause shrinkage and damage the color and elasticity of stretch fabrics.
Let denim air dry on a clothesline or hanger, away from direct sunlight. The weight of the fabric also helps to naturally release wrinkles.
Iron denim if needed, inside out, at a maximum of 110°C.
Want to remove light wrinkles? Use a handheld steamer on a low setting (80–100°C), keeping some distance (3–5 cm) from the fabric to preserve its color and structure. With our Handheld Steamer (Cirrus X), wrinkles disappear in no time and your clothing feels fresh again!
Tip: Use a GUPPYFRIEND washing bag (available at JOSH V) to protect your denim and reduce microfiber shedding.
