The more you know. The easier each choice becomes.

Certifications hold us accountable and help you as a customer to make informed decisions. Strategic partnerships allow us to amplify our impact and drive meaningful change.

Certifications

Certifications verify our sustainability efforts. They’re a way to provide clear, trustworthy information about the impact of our choices. As a member of MODINT, we use their Fiber Matrix classification to guide the selection of sustainable materials and certifications.

Better Cotton

Better Cotton trains farmers to use water responsibly, maintain healthy soils, minimize harmful chemicals, and ensure fair working conditions. Growing cotton in a way that’s better for people and the planet.

Amfori BSCI

The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) ensures fair working conditions in high-risk countries. Independent audits are carried out every two years to verify compliance with their Code of Conduct. Their CoC prohibits discrimination and child labor, ensures fair wages and promotes workplace safety. Together with our suppliers, we make sure they improve wherever necessary.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™

As a sustainable alternative to conventional viscose, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ requires less water, emits less CO₂ and is 100% biodegradable. If it is not available, we use alternatives such as Livaeco by Birla Cellulose™.

Livaeco by Birla Cellulose™

Livaeco by Birla Cellulose™ is made from natural cellulose fibers sourced from FSC®-certified forests where more trees are planted than harvested. Thanks to blockchain technology, we can trace its journey from forest to garment.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) requires at least 70% organic natural fibers and limits the proportion of synthetic or recycled fibers to 10%. As the certification process is complex and costly for our suppliers, we accept certification at fabric level for now. This means that the fabric is certified but the end product is not. We are working towards full compliance for sustainability and fair working conditions.

Organic Content Standard (OCS)

Organic Content Standard (OCS) verifies the presence of organically grown materials in our products. While it does not address social or environmental aspects of production, it does support biodiversity, soil health and farmers. As the certification process is complex and costly for our suppliers, we accept certification at fabric level for now. This means that the fabric is certified but the end product is not. We are working towards full compliance for organically grown materials.

Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) & Global Recycling Standard (GRS)

Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) & Global Recycling Standard (GRS) certifications guarantee a minimum percentage of recycled materials in our products (5% for RCS, 20% for GRS). Giving discarded materials a second life saves resources, water and energy. As the certification process is complex and costly for our suppliers, we accept certification at fabric level for now. This means that the fabric is certified but the end product is not. We are working towards full compliance for recycled materials.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification guarantees that paper and wood products come from responsibly managed forests that strike a balance between social, environmental and economic needs.

Leather Working Group (LWG) silver

The Leather Working Group (LWG) focuses on reducing the environmental impact of leather production, ensuring safe working conditions and promoting the responsible use of water and chemicals. As the certification process is complex and costly for our suppliers, we accept certification at fabric level for now. This means that the fabric is certified but the end product is not. We are working towards full compliance for responsible leather.

Stichting UPV Textiel

From July 2023, clothing brands in the Netherlands are legally responsible for their waste. Together with Stichting UPV Textiel, we are setting up a collection system to meet the UPV (ERP) targets for reuse and recycling. This partnership is an important step towards a circular economy in the Netherlands.

tex.tracer

We partner with tex.tracer to enhance transparency in our global supply chain. With tex.tracer’s technology, we can track and verify data from Tier 1 to Tier 4 suppliers. This improves our accountability far beyond our direct manufacturers. An important step towards full supply chain transparency and Digital Product Passports (DPP), launching in 2026.

True Ideas

Real change requires everyone to move in the same direction. That’s why we work with True Ideas, communications experts who help us share our story transparently and effectively. They are the creative minds behind ‘Today V. Tomorrow’.

ReShare Stores

The ReShare Stores, part of the Salvation Army, sell affordable second-hand and vintage clothing. They support a circular textile chain, create jobs, and help people in need. Thanks to our partnership we can reuse and recycle more garments.

Moyee

Moyee is not only our FairChain coffee supplier - we share the same mission. The coffee and textile industries face similar sustainability challenges and we learn from each other on topics such as supply chain transparency, fair working conditions and reducing environmental impact.

Amfori

amfori is a global network that helps brands to improve conditions in their supply chains. Through their Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), we monitor and improve working conditions and ensure fairness and safety for everyone involved.
