Beauty should never come at the expense of the well-being of others. That’s why we make sure that everyone in our supply chain is treated with dignity. From our Code of Conduct with suppliers to partnerships with amfori BSCI and tex.tracer, we are building a transparent and responsible supply chain.
In 2025, JOSH V introduced an updated Supplier Code of Conduct. This clear and practical document outlines the expectations and responsibilities for all partners in our supply chain. It is based on the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), an internationally recognised standard for social responsibility, of which we continue to be a member.
As part of this update, we included the Female Empowerment Fundamental, developed in collaboration with amfori BSCI. As a brand built on empowering women, and with fashion predominantly made by women, we want to actively strengthen their position in our supply chain..
Fair and safe working conditions are non-negotiable. That’s why we’ve joined the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), an initiative that improves labor conditions in high-risk countries*. Every two years, independent audits verify compliance with our shared standards, from fair wages to workplace safety.
*countries where workers often face challenges related to labor rights, such as poor working conditions, lack of enforcement of labor laws and limited access to fair wages
Today
We are a proud member of amfori BSCI since 2021
As of 2023, we only work with Tier 1 production locations that are monitored by amfori BSCI, or comparable organizations, ensuring social conditions are actively monitored.
We partnered with tex.tracer to create a fully transparent supply chain. Using blockchain technology, tex.tracer provides verifiable data on sourcing, production, and sustainability efforts. Being able to see exactly where and how garments are made, creates trust. It also makes it easier for consumers to make well informed choices.
Today
All of our Tier 1 (final product) suppliers are mapped in tex.tracer.
In 2026, we mapped our Tier 2 (fabric) suppliers in tex.tracer.
Tomorrow
In 2027, we extend supply chain mapping into Tier 3 where possible.
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a digital record attached to a product that contains information about its materials, origin, production process and sustainability credentials. It gives both consumers and regulators access to verified product data, and is set to become a requirement under EU legislation.
Well ahead of EU regulations, we are launching our first DPPs in 2026. It's a meaningful step in making our transparency efforts tangible and accessible at product level.
Harmful chemicals have no place in your wardrobe. That’s why we maintain a Restricted Substances List (RSL) and adhere to the strict AFIRM Group. Since 2023, we are testing our final products for chemical residues. The results are then shared with suppliers to help them improve in case necessary.
The better we understand our customers’ needs, the less we overproduce. By analyzing market research, sales data, and returns, we have managed to match supply and demand quite closely. Since 2024, we’re partnering with Returnless to access even more data to lower our returns.
Our aim is to not overproduce anything. But in our business there can and will occasionally be surplus products. We take our responsibility seriously and make sure that every unsold item is handled with care and given a new purpose. We have full control over what happens to our stock, making sure it is never destroyed or exported abroad without a clear purpose or destination.
JOSH V pieces are made to be loved and worn by you. We hold sample sales twice a year and regular seasonal sales to make sure as many as possible find a loving owner. After these sales, surplus items get one last shot at Otrium. We also donate a portion to MyLimaLima, and other organizations. People we know and trust to use the garments for a good cause.
